China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" Service Center Launched at Baiyun Airport to Facilitate Investment, Trade and Cultural Exchanges

The Indonesian Investment Service Center and China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" Baiyun Airport Information Service Station was recently unveiled in the international departure hall of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Terminal 2. The active engagement of Wanxinda Holdings and the completion of this new platform will provide convenient services for China-Indonesia economic and trade cooperation, unleash opportunities for cooperation, and promote Chinese and Indonesian enterprises to achieve mutual benefit and win-win in a wider range of fields.

The Consul General of Indonesia in Guangzhou, leaders from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, CCPIT Guangdong and Guangzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, project leaders of both sides, and important guests from all walks of life gathered together and witnessed this historic milestone moment.

The establishment of this Information Service Station is to further promote the cooperation between China and Indonesia in trade and investment that is getting closer with the deepening of economic globalization. The platform, like a bridge, will provide more convenient and efficient information services for Chinese and Indonesian enterprises, helping both sides achieve deeper development in investment, trade and cultural exchanges.

As Baiyun Airport's "Belt and Road" national information station, and as a bright window of Indonesia in Guangzhou, its establishment not only builds a more convenient bridge for the economic and trade exchanges between the two countries, but also injects new vitality and hope into the future development of China-Indonesia friendly relations!

At the unveiling ceremony, Mr. Perkasa Drajat, Consul General of Indonesia in Guangzhou underlined that fact in his speech that the establishment of the Indonesian Investment Service Center and China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" Baiyun Airport Information Service Station is another important step forward in the investment cooperation between China and India. It will further strengthen relations between the two countries, especially their interaction in the southern region. With a trade volume of US$129 billion, a good foundation for economic cooperation has already in place between China and Indonesia. It is worth mentioning that the southern region contributes more than 20% of that figure, which undoubtedly highlights the key role of the region in promoting bilateral trade. "Since its launch in 2021, the China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Twin Parks (TCTP)" project has not only injected vitality into the investment cooperation in the industrial park, but also laid a solid foundation for future development. In 2024, more than one-third of China's large-scale FDI in Indonesia came from the southern region, a fact that shows the importance of the region in foreign direct investment (FDI). ”

The information station is not only an important achievement in deepening China-Indonesia relations, but also a part of the effort to improve Baiyun Airport's international service quality. ” Luo Shupeng, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's Terminal 1 Management Branch, pointed out that the increasing flow of people and logistics between China and Indonesia had highlighted the growing importance of the international hub in the past few years, and this new business platform would further enhance its strategic significance. Through the complex and changing global economic situation, the long-lasting friendship between China and Indonesia has risen to the challenge; and the rapid growth of tourism business between the two countries has also brought more opportunities to their respective countries. She was expecting that a comprehensive service platform like this would better support enterprises in market expansion, and infuse new momentum to the bilateral relations of the two countries.

Mr. Chen Riling, President of Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia and Chairman of Wanxinda Holdings, made it clear in his speech that the company had been committed to promoting the cooperation between China and Indonesia in various fields, especially in economic and trade. The establishment of the information center will significantly improve the efficiency of information acquisition for companies on both sides, and can provide better services for market analysis and policy interpretation. It is reported that the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" mode has become a new benchmark of innovation and development in the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The Chinese Park is centered on Fuzhou Yuanhong Investment Zone in Fujian province, while the Indonesia Park consists of industrial parks of Bintan, Aviarna, and Badung in Indonesia. By setting up industrial parks in each other, the two countries are jointly creating a prominent project under Belt and Road Initiative.

Now, China and Indonesia have signed a land agreement for the China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" Badung Industrial Park, which involve a total area of 98 hectares, and it is expected to attract 200 enterprises and create 200,000 jobs in the next 2 to 3 years. In addition, the Industrial Park will strive to build an industrial base of more than 10 million square meters within five years.
