On April 18th, the Huadu District United Front Investment Promotion Conference, themed on "Win-win Gathering Among Flowers", was held at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Meidong Industrial Park, Huashan Town. This is the second time the Huadu District Party Committee United Front Department held such an event in a township, following its District business service industry high-quality development inspection and exchange activity held in Xinya Street at the end of March; by selecting Huadong Town and Huashan Town, two key overseas Chinese hometowns in Huadu, as the venue of the investment promotion conference carry out the promotion of investment, the Conference aimed to give full play to towns and streets as the main battlefield of the economy and the primary site of project implementation, so that the united front resources and the grass-roots development needs can be aligned with“zero distance”, and all sources and powers of areas covered by the United Front can be mobilized for attraction of investments to Huadu, to store up energy for the promotion of the high-quality development of the whole District.

At the Conference, the relevant responsible officials of Huadu Economic Development Zone, Huadong Town and Huashan Town made investment promotion presentations and policy introductions to show the investment advantages and development potential of their regions in an all-round way. A total of 5 projects of Guangzhou J&J Sanitary Ware Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Huien Medical Investment and Development Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Tianren Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. among others, have had contracts successfully signed with the United Front Work Department of Huadu District Party Committee, District Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Huacheng Street and other relevant departments and enterprises, covering such areas as people's livelihood and medical care, and catering services, etc., with an investment amount of 380 million yuan.

In recent years, the United Front of Huadu District has fully mobilized the enthusiasm and initiative of members in various fields, and gathered the strength of all parties to help the solid progress of investment promotion. According to incomplete statistics, 15 projects have been successfully signed so far, with an investment amount of 1.03 billion yuan.

Huadu is a hub city; it is home to three major transportation hubs, namely Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou North Railway Station and Huadu Port, enjoying the benefits of "four network integration" of high-speed rail, intercity, subway and aviation.

Huadu is an industrial city; it is making every effort to develop six strategic industries, including intelligent connected NEVs, new energy and new energy storage, three emerging industries and specialized services, such as embodied intelligence, cells and genes, and five modern service industries, like modern commerce.

Huadu is a vibrant city. It has introduced Guangzhou city's first "1+11" policy document for the upgrading and transformation of village and town industrial agglomeration areas; its practice in grassroots medical reform was selected as a typical case of integrated reform of the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project" at provincial and municipal levels; its No. 2 Jiqun Street project, which was the first dilapidated housing renovation project of Guangdong province that was demolished and rebuilt in-situ with funds raised by the owners themselves, was selected as a typical case of integrated reform and a reform case of "the most rewarding" of the city's "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project"; it has released 8 special industrial policies, as well as 5 comprehensive policies, including investment promotion, for the development of modern industrial system; and it has added 300 talent apartments, and established District-level science and technology special funds.

Huadu is a happy city. It has a green coverage rate of 93.7%, and a number of cultural and tourism projects such as Jiulong Lake Resort, Wangzi Mountain Forest Park, and automobile culture projects are under accelerated development.

At the Promotion Conference, the United Front Work Department of the District Party Committee expressed expectation to all entrepreneurs, and overseas Chinese leaders and businessmen that they could become "city partners" of Huadu to jointly build industrial projects, share development dividends, and enjoy Huadu's policy support in land, capital and talents; that they could become "development consultants" to make suggestions on the investment process, business environment, and enterprise services from the perspective of entrepreneurs; and that they could become "ambassadors" to actively give full play to their advantages of wide contacts and rich information, and through ties of family, fellowship and friendship publicize the promising aspects of Huadu, giving more people the opportunities to know, approach, and settle in Huadu.

Before the Conference, the participants went on a field trip to the Flower Town to learn about the construction and progress of the second phase of the project.
