The 137th China Import and Export Fair was just successfully concluded at Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou. Huadu District once again led the city in delegation size, with 224 exhibitors and 670 booths, and reported USD 606 million intended procurement amount, a full demonstration of the industrial resilience and foreign trade vitality of Huadu enterprises.

Canton Fair, which is regarded as a “barometer” and “wind vane” of foreign trade, has always been the core stage for Huadu enterprises to explore the international market and expand the scale of trade. This year's Canton Fair saw Huadu exhibitors in dozens of fields such as electronic information, bag manufacturing, personal care, etc., bringing with them rich and diversified product matrix. According to statistics, the exhibitors of Huadu in this year's Canton Fair included 91 high-tech enterprises, 56 provincial "specialized, refined, differentiated, and innovative (SRDI)" enterprises, and 5 SRDI “Little Giant” enterprises, a sign of continuous gathering of innovation power.
A great number of Bags and leather goods, audio electronics, beauty care and personal care products made appearance at the Fair, showing a new picture of industrial iteration and upgrading. Bags and leather goods, which have been a traditional advantageous industry in Huadu, stood in the center position again. Shiling leather goods industry cluster appeared under the mode of “Brand + Industry Interaction”; Julice, Aopiya, Biege, Guxiou and other high-quality enterprises attracted the attention of many buyers with their unique and differentiated designs. The person in charge of Guxiou said in an interview with CCTV News that they would target the needs of customers in different countries, implement the localization strategy of brand operation, and fully push the promotion of products in the international market.

During the Canton Fair, Huadu District endeavored to build an efficient trade ecology by making efforts on both lines of “on-site + off-site”, organizing 16 on-site and off-site docking activities to accurate connection with overseas buyer resources, and pave the way for enterprises.
On-site precise matching. The District organized high-quality enterprises in Huadu to dock with the head buyers of Canton Fair, such as Kawan Lama of Indonesia, Kesko of Finland , Marjane of Morocco, Auchan of France, and X5 of Russia; against the background of aggravation of trade friction and the pressure on foreign trade, organized more than 50 luggage enterprises to participate in Industry Trend Forums and activities for excellent foreign trade goods; and helped enterprises to accurately dock with famous e-commerce platforms, such as Tmall, JD.com and Vipshop, to promote the shift of exports to domestic sales, thus to broaden the market channels of enterprises.
Off-site in-depth transformation. The District successfully held docking session during the Canton Fair for Huadu's building materials, sanitary ware, bags and leather goods, which contributed to promote intended procurement of a total amount of more than 38 million U.S. dollars, and were reported by the People's Daily Online, China News Service, China Report and other media; carried out activity of “visit invitation to the Fair and the enterprises”, in which exhibitors were mobilized to invite more than 10,000 buyers to the Canton Fair, more than 800 batches of buyers to visit the enterprises, intending to build a face-to-face communication platform between enterprises and buyers, and help enterprises to explore the international market in depth.

In order to help enterprises secure orders, Huadu District deployed in advance, took targeted measures, deepened the full chain mode of “pre-exhibition guidance - during exhibition services - post-exhibition follow-up”, and took multiple measures to do a good job in guarantee services.
Precise guidance before the exhibition. Before the Canton Fair, the District surveyed in various forms, like organization of policy seminars, and on-site visits to enterprises, etc., to understand in detail the enterprise's export volume, market development direction, willingness to participate in the Canton Fair, and self-evaluation of their performance in Canton Fair, and then provided one-on-one guidance on the application for Canton Fair booths, and provide services through the whole process from materials preparation to qualification audit, acting as a good “think tank” and policy “lecturer” for enterprises participating the Fair.
Efficient service during the exhibition. During the Canton Fair, leaders of the provincial, city, and district levels led teams to visit the front line of Canton Fair, where they made investigations, focusing on the effectiveness of docking between enterprises and buyers, the potential of order increment, the layout of export markets and the strategies in response to trade frictions, and answered and responded to the requests and demands of enterprises on the spot, effectively boosting the confidence of foreign trade enterprises; national chambers of commerce, such as those of the light industry, minmetals, electromechanical, textile and health care, were coordinated to visit Huadu exhibitors to gather information; and the District followed up the development of enterprises during the Fair, coordinated solution of the problems of exhibition preparation and the docking with merchants, trying to ensure that the enterprises' demands would be handled as soon as they were raised.
Continuous follow-up after the exhibition. After each phase of the Fair, collection of feedback from enterprises was performed through online questionnaires, telephone calls and other channels to understand the amount of intended procurement concluded, the actual development of the enterprises during the Fair, with focus on the actual needs and problems encountered by enterprises during the process. Based on professional analysis and judgment of the feedback information, the District optimize the service process and improve the service quality continuously, trying to provide enterprises with more accurate and attentive service support.

The 137th Canton Fair came to a successful end, and Huadu enterprises, with their high-quality products and innovative services, significantly improved their brand influence and market expansion, reported a record high amount of intended orders, and injected new energy for the high-quality development of regional foreign trade.
A relevant person in charge of Huadu Council for the Promotion of International Trade said that they would continue to follow up the progress of enterprise orders, help enterprises to stabilize orders, promote contract performance, and expand channels, so as to empower the advance from “Made in Huadu” to “Intelligently Made in Huadu”, and promote the accelerated transformation of the results of foreign trade into effective economic development.
