Today’s Huadu News: Huadu recorded a total import and export amount of 88.9 billion yuan in 2019, 3.6% down from previous year; which includes 56.4 billion yuan in export, down 17.1%, and 32.5 billion yuan in import, up 34.5%. It is worth noting that private companies have become the major force in foreign trade. In 2019 private companies of Huadu reported a total import and export amount of 56.63 billion yuan, up by 0.8%, accounting for 64.1% of the whole District, which is 2.5 percentage points higher than 2018.

　　  It is reported that in 2019, Huadu grew moderately in general trade and processing trade, but market purchase export dropped nearly 30%; bonded logistics and cross-border e-commerce foreign trade both registered fast growth. In particular, the cross-border e-commerce foreign trade grew by 72.5% to 1.78 billion yuan. While foreign trade of private companies is rising, that of foreign invested enterprises and state-owned enterprises dropped.

　　  The European Union, the United States, Japan, and ASEAN are the top 4 trading partners; trade with Africa increased while trade with Latin America and Middle East decreased. Africa has surpassed the European Union as the largest export destination of Huadu; in 2019 export to Africa reached 9.93 billion yuan, 12.9% up. Japan leads in exportation to Huadu in the same period, with a total amount of 9.99 billion yuan, 14.5% up; import from the European Union is 9.52 billion, up 86.1%. Both labor-intensive products and machinery & electronic products are in decline, while steel and motorcycle spare parts recorded big increase against the head wind. It is noteworthy that steel and motorcycle spare parts export of Huadu reached 0.73 billion and 0.67 billion respectively, representing huge growth of 25.5% and 98.1% respectively. Medical products account that largest share in import, and their volume doubled in the year; import of valves and dairy products surged. In particular, Huadu's import of machinery & electronic products reached 17.14 billion yuan, an increase of 12.8%, accounting for 53.6% of the total import. In the same period, medical products doubled their volume; import of equipment for measuring ,testing, analyzing and auto control grew up 36.1%; valves by 1.6 times; and dairy products by 2.3 times to 0.57 billion yuan.
