Today's Huadu News: On March 29, Huang Weilin, secretary of the CPC Huadu District Committee, led a team to survey the epidemic control work at hotels designated for centralized quarantine for travelers arriving from abroad, and the construction of Renji Hospital, Guangya Middle School (Huadu Campus) and their supporting facilities. Mr. Huang emphasized on the need to see the bigger picture, strengthen measures effective for epidemic control, and coordinate well to vigorously promote the construction of Renji Hospital, Guangya Middle School and surrounding supporting facilities.

　　  The District has now selected 21 hotels with 3191 guest rooms for centralized quarantine of people coming from abroad, and 1092 rooms are still available. Closed-loop management from pick-up, transfer, resettlement, and health services applies to all people coming to Huadu from abroad, and grid-based management by “three-person working groups” has been implemented in all communities.

　　  Mr. HuangWeilinvisited Haoyin Gloria Plaza Hotel and Serengeti Hotel to collect information of epidemic control at hotels for centralized quarantine. Haoyin Gloria Plaza Hotel has 203 rooms with 300 beds, and currently accommodates 200 people coming from abroad, including: 179 Chinese nationalities and 21 foreigners; most of the foreigners are from Malaysia; there are 120 people in quarantine in Serengeti Hotel; all of them are of Chinese nationality, and most of them came back from Thailand and Britain.

　　  Mr. HuangWeilinstressed that control of hotels must be strengthened to ensure that the all quarantine measures are properly implemented, that hotel staff should pay attention to safety and self-protection, listen patiently to the demands of people in quarantine, and try best to satisfy their needs, and that special attention shall be paid to taking care of vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children.

　　  Promote project construction progress

　　  Renji Hospital affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University, located east of the North Jinghu Avenue in Xinya Street, south of Yayao East Road, and west of Huanggang Middle School, has an approved construction land area of 80612 square meters. It is planned to be built according to the standard of a Class A tertiary hospital, with a total construction area of about 170,000 square meters and 1,000 beds. The construction period is from 2017 to 2021. Now the work of CFG pile composite subgrade and retaining and protecting for foundation excavation has been almost completed, and construction of the main part of the basement and pile testing are progress.

　　  Guangya Middle School’s Huadu Campus has a total construction area of 183,900 square meters and an underground construction area of 17,900 square meters. At present, the school gate, Shanchang Building, and Wuxie Hall are undergoing interior decoration; the staff dormitory, and junior high school teaching building have topped-off their main structures, and are now in masonry construction; the sports center, science and art center, and high school teaching building are under construction of main structure; and the dormitory for male students and its basement are under construction of base structure.

　　  The road construction project around Guangya High School involves three roads; all of them are secondary urban roads, including Kuangcun East Road, Sanxiang East Road and Shuguang Road. Dongcun East Road is reconstructed from an old road, and the other two are newly built. The project can ensure the road safety of teachers and students of Guangya Middle School, improve the urban traffic road network of Huadu District, and make better living environment for the neighborhood. At present, the construction work of drainage, roads, and power trenches is progressing in an orderly manner.

　　  The road project around the CETC Industry Park consists of 4 roads with a total length of 4.85 kilometers. Yongli Road and Dianke Road will be built in Phase 1, and Jianshe Road and Shuguang Road in Phase 2. These roads, laid out in grid shape, will be the main components of the road network around the Industry Park.

　　  Mr. Huang pointed out that these projects will greatly help to improve Huadu's urban functions and meet the needs of the people; and all relevant entities must solve problems related to the projects in accordance with laws and regulations to vigorously promote their construction progress.
