Today’s Huadu News: A solemn ground breaking ceremony was held on Apr. 30 for Guangzhou IAT Automobile’s automobile product project in Huadu Autocity. Presented at the event to witness this momentous moment were Luo Ganzheng, a member of standing committee of CPC Huadu District Committee and deputy district mayor, relevant leaders from CPC Huadu District Committee Office, District Bureau of Science, Industry, Commerce and Information Technology, Huadu District Autocity Administrative Committee, District Sub-bureau of Planning and Natural Resources, and District Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and representatives of cooperators of IAT, construction contractors, companies in the Autocity, and banks.

　　  IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter as IAT) , one of the first national new- and high-technology enterprises, and a national industrial design center recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, has achieved a great deal in automotive product planning, style design, engineering design, new energy vehicles development, electronic control technology development and other fields that cover the entire process of automotive design; it owns 492 patents and 14 copyrights, cooperates extensively with more than 60 large-scale engine manufacturers and new-type car manufacturers in the world, and has more than 200 model development cases and databases. IAT's automobile product development project is an important link of its strategic plan. In 2016, IAT was registered in Huadu, and in 2018, it won the bid for a plot of land in the Guangzhou Huadu Automobile Industry Base, which was approved as one of the first batch of new industrial lands in Guangzhou on December 19 due to strong support of CPC Huadu District Committee and District Government. The project, covering an area of 30,252 square meters, with a gross floor area of 111,932.4 square meters, will be built into a new type of industrial park that integrates automobile creativity and engineering design, new energy vehicle R&D and related business, review and evaluation, technical consulting, industry exchanges and trainings, and headquarters office. It is reported that this 500 million yuan investment will produce an estimated annual output value of 500 million yuan, with tax revenue of 59 million yuan.

　　  Luo Ganzheng remarked that in recent years, CPC Huadu Committee and District Government have implemented with resolution the new development concept, being focused on high-quality development, and dedicated to developing new industries such as new energy vehicles, intelligent network, automotive electronics, and car sharing, to constantly promote accelerated transition, better quality and elevated efficiency of the automotive industry, so that the District may have a new economic driving force. It is hoped that IAT’s setting a new stage of creation in Huadu Autocity will give full play to its leading role and help Huadu’s automotive industry achieve high-quality development with its advanced R&D technology and high-quality technical services. 　　  The responsible official of IAT Group said that the successful groundbreaking for "Guangzhou AIT Automobile Product Development Project” will not be possible without strong support of the Huadu District Government; that the company will follow the development requirements, and carry forward the spirit of "seeking truth from facts, pioneering in innovation" to create a modern, standard and well-regulated new type industrial park in the light of industrial upgrading; and that they are convinced that with the support of the government, various agencies and construction contractors, the project will be completed and put into operation on schedule.
