Leveraging the New Whirlwind of "Livestreaming", Huadu Promotes Transformation and Upgrading of Local e-commerce
Today’s Huadu News: “As a new business format, e-commerce has great potentials, because it can not only promote sales of agricultural products and by products, help people get rid of poverty and become rich, but also promotes rural revitalization,” said General Secretary Xi Jinping on April 20 during an inspection tour of Jinmi Village, Xiaoling Town, Zhashui County, Shaanxi.
As a variety of e-commerce, livestreaming commerce has become one of the "hottest" emerging business models, and witnesses a new spike during the epidemic prevention period; numerous livestreamers have emerged, and all players are busy with hiring internet celebrities to promotion goods through livestreaming.
In order to further promote exchanges and cooperation among livestreaming commerce enterprises, Huadu District has created, by pooling quality resources of traditional business associations, such as jewelry association, audio industry association, leather and leather goods association, and SME association, a livestreaming commerce branch association companies with advantages in the industry supply chain to extensively engage in, learn from, and use livestreaming commerce, and continuously improve the quality of products and services involved to provide support for Huadu's booming development of new consumption and new e-commerce. The livestreaming commerce shopping festivals held respectively in January, March, and May 2019 accelerated the pace of enterprises to go online and upgrade their marketing models.
Huadu District plans to roll out in the near future measures to support the development of livestreaming commerce; once announced they will usher in a new round of boom period of livestreaming commerce in the District.
“Livestreaming fever" helps "business resumption on the cloud"
Since the outbreak of Covid-19 epidemic, companies and merchants that rely on offline customers have suffered tremendously. Recently, a host of livestreaming programs have emerged all around China, all crying “town mayor here”, or “city mayor here” and were extremely popular. Huadu District will also have its first "internet celebrity” official, Xie Yingjun, mayor of Shiling Town, who will be marketing quality Shiling suitcases and bags on April 30. It is reported that Shiling Town will have an exclusive studio at the China Leather Capital Livestreaming Commerce Base, and it will be a regular practice for local government leaders to promote goods as livestreamers, which is aimed to provide new momentum to the development of the Shiling’s leather industry.
Shiling Town is a world-famous leather industry cluster that boasts of complete industry chain and massive market scale, making it the country's largest production base for luggages and bags and trading base for raw and auxiliary materials. It is home to more than 8800 leather goods and bags factories, which churn out more than 500 million bags a year; it has a bunch of local brands, including "Sefiro", "Aoking", "Kingsons", "Auweila", "Henney Bear" "," Nohoo ","Susen ", and " Kodes” , in particular, Montagut, Henney Bear and Wanxinda were found in G20 summits and BRICS meetings as official suppliers, and it is the leather capital of China recognized by China Light Industry Council and China Leather Industry Association.
Leverage advantages to build a development base
Exploiting the supply chain advantages of Huadu as the cosmetics capital, audio equipment capital, jewelry capital, and leather capital of China, as well as the advantages of a transportation hub with Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and a sprawling transportation network, Shengdi Group of Huadu District took the lead to introduce in early 2019 livestreaming institutions and training institutions for livestreamers, to guide and nurture cluster of professional stores, and to build a livestreaming base for leather luggage and bag industry, which was awarded by Taobaolive as the first professional “livestreaming base for luggage and bags" in China. After preparation for more than half a year, the China Mobile 5G + Livestreaming Commerce Demonstration Base was finally launched in August, and the District became the first among the 11 districts of Guangzhou to hold livestreaming commerce festival to guide traditional enterprises to this new model and new era of livestreaming commerce.
In recent years, Huadu District held livestreaming commerce seminars, training sessions, e-commerce skills competitions, and appraisal and evaluation activities every year. In 2019, Shengdi Business School was founded to train and incubate popular livestreamers and to build a system to support e-commerce talents and teams. Now the school has trained nearly 10,000 highly skilled and professional talents. In the early days of livestreaming commerce, a 2-month training session was held for a total of 856 participants, which served to inform and win over the public, and to train a host of proprietress livestreamers, internet celebrity livestreamers, and talent livestreamers for Huadu District.
Guangde International E-commerce Logistics Park at Yingbin Avenue West, Huadu District, has attracted more than 10 internet celebrities since 2019 (including 10 with more than 1 million followers and 5 with more than 5 million follower) to provide livestream marketing service to factories in Huadu and Baiyun districts. At the same time, the Park has built special model room and livestreaming studios with a total floor area of about 12000 square meters, and set in place after-sales service system and China Post warehouse and distribution system for livestream marketing. Their goal is to build a network celebrity base that integrates functions such as livestreaming, accommodation, food and beverage, and display.
