The Third Session of "Intellectual Huadu · Talent Morning Tea Party" Focuses on Airport Economy to Discuss Good Ways of Development
On April 15th, Huadu District held the third session of "Intellectual Huadu · Talent Morning Tea Party", in which District leaders and 9 entrepreneurs and talents in the field of airport industry talked freely over morning tea about how to "develop airport economy".
The morning tea party is part of the effort to resolutely implement the spirit of the provincial, municipal and District meetings on high quality development. Aiming to comprehensively boost enterprise confidence, optimize business climate, the tea party is designed to give the entrepreneurs firsthand experience of the District's determination to be pro-business and respectful to talents, and to continually create a good climate enabling "cadres to act, local government to explore, enterprises to invest, and the masses to take initiative".
The District Party Committee and District Government attach so great importance to the morning tea parties, that the District leaders would personally review and approve the plan for each party. In preparation of this morning tea party, the Office of the Talent Work Leading Group of the District Party Committee took the lead to conduct special researches in airport-related industries, such as passenger transport, aviation maintenance, cargo transport, airport logistics, aviation education and training, etc., and made in-depth analysis of the development status, market players and development trends of these industries to produce materials that provide useful references for participants and relevant leaders of the tea party.
9 entrepreneurs were invited to the tea party, they were from Air China Guangdong, China Southern Airlines Engineering Technology, Xuehang Group, Guangdong Airport Authority Logistics Company, Hainan Airlines Guangzhou, Shenzhen Airlines Guangzhou, COSCO Shipping Air, Air Central Guangzhou, and China Air Cargo. At the party, the entrepreneurs exchanged views on the development prospects, geographic advantages, bottlenecks and difficulties facing the airport industry of the District, and offered suggestions for the high-quality development of Huadu, fully demonstrating the business sector's compassion to work together with the government to plan for development.
Zhang Zhaogang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Air China Guangdong, proposed that Huadu District should give full play to the unique advantage as home to the only large aviation and railway dual hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to further increase the coordination and integration of aviation and railway resources, and promote the upgrade of air-rail combined transportation to a higher energy level.
Sun Chunming, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of the China Southern Airlines Engineering Technology, suggested that Huadu District should step up attraction and cultivation of key skilled talents in the aviation industry, by providing better housing security to talents and better service level to their children's schooling.
Jiang Shuwei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairperson of Guangdong Airport Authority Logistics Company, remarked that Huadu District should make plans for more high value-added industries such as aviation logistics, aircraft maintenance and manufacturing, biomedicine, and next generation information technology to improve the quality and efficiency of the development of Huadu's airport industry.
Xue Jianmei, chairman of Guangdong Xuehang Group Co., Ltd., suggested that Huadu District should plan to build an aviation city near the airport to provide better integrated comprehensive service in terms of offices and employee housing for airport industry enterprises.
Chen Hui, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of COSCO Shipping Air Guangzhou, proposed that Huadu District should vigorously attract top cross-border e-commerce enterprises and promote deeper integration between advantageous industries such as luggage and leather goods and jewelry and the airport industry.
Each and every one demand and suggestion made by the entrepreneurs at the tea party on issues regarding housing security for talents, children's schooling, transportation, etc., received reply from relevant leaders of the District Committee and District Government. After the tea party, the Office of the Talent Work Leading Group of the District Party Committee immediately established a list of demands and suggestions, which are to be followed up, coordinated, and handled as soon as possible, so as to better serve the enterprises in development by taking away their worries and shackles and building a first-class business environment. It has been know that 9 demands and suggestions were received at the first and second morning tea parties, 6 of them have been solved so far, and 3 are being actively promoted for settlement.
This event was hosted by the Talent Work Leadership Team of Huadu District Party Committee, organized by the Airport Administrative Committee, co-organized by Huadu Talent Development Co., Ltd, and attended by District leaders and heads of relevant functional departments of the District.
