On May 16, the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou People's Government, CPC Huadu District Committee and Huadu District Government jointly held an activity named "Understanding Huadu” for foreign missions stationed in Guangzhou, in which 38 consulate officials and their families from 20 countries' consulates general in Guangzhou visited enterprises and rural areas of Huadu to experience the high-quality green development, and see the results of rural revitalization and development.

　　On the morning of the 16th, they were welcomed at Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd (GAMECO), Huadu City Exhibition Hall, and China Emissions Exchange Guangzhou. In they were briefed on the company's development background and business, the operating mode of sino-foreign joint venture, and had exchanges with relevant persons from the company.

　　China Emissions Exchange Guangzhou is the only entity in the Greater Bay Area that is a participant of both national carbon trading pilot program and the green finance reform and innovation pilot zone; and the delegation showed strong interest in carbon emissions trading, saying it was a telling example of practicing ecological environment protection and green economic development. In Huadu City Exhibition Hall, the relevant persons, by introducing to delegation the location, geographic advantage, airport economy, transportation hub, ecological protection, industrial development, green finance and other major aspects of Huadu District, gave a comprehensive display of achievements of Huadu District in high-quality development.

　　At noon on the 16th, Huadu District Government held a promotion meeting at the District Comprehensive Service Center. At the meeting, relevant responsible comrades of Huadu District Government extended warm welcome to the visiting delegation and introduced the development advantages and prospects of Huadu District. In his speech on behalf of the delegation, the Consul General of Nepal in Guangzhou said that Huadu District was suitable place for work, living and traveling, and full of unlimited opportunities, that this tour provided a good opportunity for officials of the consulates in Guangzhou to experience the development of Huadu District, and that they looked forward to further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the District.

Consulate officials and their families said that field visits and promotion meetings gave them a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the development of Huadu District and the business opportunities it offered, and they were willing to further promote cooperation between their countries and Huadu District in various fields.

　　On the afternoon of the 16th, the delegation visited Sunac Cultural Tourism City, and Maling Flower Viewing Botanical Garden and Zhudong Village in Shiling Town to have firsthand experience with the construction of ecological civilization, the achievements of rural revitalization and the integrated development model of culture and tourism. Consulate officials and their families enjoyed with great interest the Snow World, theme parks and "Flying Over Guangdong “and others new landmarks of recreation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

　　In Maling Flower Viewing Botanical Garden and Zhudong Village in Shiling Town, they walked the "Flowery Year “avenue of rural revitalization to experience the idyllic slow life filled with "flowers". Consulate officials and their families said that the flower and bonsai industry in Huadu District was quite unique and of great significance for promoting the integrated development of cultural tourism and ecology, and that the experience of rural revitalization was worth learning from.
