New Progress of Huadu Major Project: Yuhu Cold Chain Goes into Operation in November
The construction progress bar of Yuhu Cold Chain Market Trading Center, a major project in Huadu, has been recently refreshed. With the main building having been fully topped out, the project is expected to be put into operation in November.
Located on the south side of the intersection of Shanqian Tourist Avenue and Daqing-Guangzhou Expressway in Huadong Town, Huadu District, the project covers an area of 51.4 acres, with a total construction area of more than 380,000 square meters. With a total investment of 3.6 billion yuan, the project is to build to international standards such core function sections as cold storage of 100,000 tons or above, smart logistics distribution center, exhibition and trading area, comprehensive processing and distribution area, e-commerce forward warehouse, inspection and quarantine building, and office management space.
Now, the main building of the project has been fully topped out, and the decoration of interior and façade and the installation of water and electricity pipe network are in progress. It is expected the project will be put into operation in November. It is estimated that the project will create 6,000 jobs after its completion, and achieve an annual transaction volume of 60 billion yuan when it reaches its design capacity. "After completion, the project will add momentum to the dual circulation of trade, create a new model of industry-city integration, bring more jobs to the city and improve urban employment rate, drive the rapid economic growth of the Greater Bay Area, and promote the high-quality economic development of Guangzhou," according to a relevant person in charge from the District Development and Reform Bureau.
A relevant person in charge from Yuhu Cold Chain said that by having "one end abroad to integrated supply" and "the other end in China to integrate circulation", a cold storage and cold chain food distribution center would be built to international standard in the future, which, with its online and offline channels and platforms , would empower import and export trade and production and processing, integrate the whole chain from orders and direct procurement, warehousing logistics, product exhibition and experience, to transaction delivery, provide support with stable and solid supply chain financial services, and connect logistics, business flow, information flow and capital flow, and eventually build a cross-border cold chain food supply chain system featuring stable supply, safety and traceability.
